How do I enrol?

Much depends on whether you intend to enrol on a college classroom based course or with a distance learning provider. The actual enrolment process itself will vary between individual providers. Here, we will run through the basics with you and then go on to describe enrolment process in detail, should you decide to enrol with Accountancy Learning.

College courses:

If you are planning to enrol onto a College (classroom based) course, then you can generally complete your initial application by phone, email or via website – you will probably have to complete a detailed application form. The College may well then invite you in for an interview to progress your application. Generally, there are two key course starting points:

  • September 
  • January (not all colleges offer this)

Distance learning courses:

If you are planning to enrol onto a Distance Learning course, many providers enable you to enrol via a website shop (e-commerce system), over the phone or you might be able to complete a manual enrolment form via email. Generally, courses can start at any point during the year (although ‘timetabled’ online lectures may have specific starting points during the year).

How to enrol with Accountancy Learning

There are several ways in which you can enrol onto a course with Accountancy Learning:

  • Website Shop: this is probably the easiest way to enrol with us. You will have the option to pay for your course in full, or you can opt to pay for your course via an interest free payment plan – the latter payment method is applicable for all our courses except the Foundation and Advanced Bookkeeping Basic package courses)

Scroll down the page a little until you get to our course options (shown below),. Just click on ‘view courses’ for the relevant level of course, and then the specific course. This will then take you to a page where you can choose wish course package you would like.

If for example, you chose AAT Foundation (L2) Courses you will be taken to the following screen where you can choose which AAT Foundation course you would like to enrol upon. Again, just click on the relevant link:

For example, if you chose the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting, this is the next screen you will see. Now to ‘which package’ to choose!

Once you have chosen click on the grey ‘Select options’ box:

On this page, you can choose whether to Pay in full, or opt for our Interest Free Payment Plan.

The click on the green ADD TO BASKET box. This will take you to this screen – you can either check your basket or go directly to our secure checkout area.

This is as far as we’ll go, otherwise I will end up having to fill in my details and buy the course!!

The key thing is, if you get stuck or have any concerns, you can always send us a message using our online chat facility, or phone us up 01392 311925 and we’ll talk you through it (unless it’s really late at night or before we arrive in the morning).

In terms of payment, we accept the following:

  • VISA (debit or credit card)
  • MASTERCARD
  • MAESTRO
  • PAYPAL

You will then receive an automated email confirming your enrolment. If you enrolled during working hours, you will receive a welcome email from us within 1-2 hours. This will include:

  • Login details for our online learning platform Moodle, so you can access all your course materials
  • Study Support Guide
  • Individual Learning Plan (with details of who your Personal Tutor is, if you enrolled on one of our ‘tutor supported’ courses)

    If applicable, your tutor will generally contact you within 24 working hours, but there is nothing to stop you getting started straight away! The first online, interactive presentation is your ‘Induction’ onto the course, which will show you how everything works, when and how to register with the AAT and so on.

Enrolment with us by phone:

An alternative method of enrolling with us is by phoning us on 01392 311925. We can take all the relevant details over the phone – the actual enrolment process usually only takes about 5-7 minutes.

However, if you are unsure about something, we will be more than happy to chat to you about the various course options, AAT registration, AAT exams and so on, before you commit yourself to anything!

We have a secure online payment gateway where we can accept the following debit/credit cards:

  • VISA
  • MASTERCARD
  • MAESTRO

As with any of our payment methods, we will start processing your enrolment right away (during normal working hours), so that you can be up and running with your course within a couple of hours.

Do check your email inbox (and ‘junk’ folder if needs be!) for our Welcome Pack, which will include:

  • Login details for our online learning platform Moodle, so you can access all your course materials
  • Study Support Guide
  • Individual Learning Plan (with details of who your Personal Tutor is, if you enrolled on one of our ‘tutor supported’ courses)

    If applicable, your tutor will generally contact you within 24 working hours, but there is nothing to stop you getting started straight away! Manual Enrolment Form:

A further method of enrolling with us is by completing one of our enrolment forms. You might sometimes opt for this method if for instance, your employer is funding your course for you.

  • You can either download an enrolment form from our website – just go to our AAT courses page here, then select the course you want and near the bottom of the page, you will see a link to the downloadable enrolment form.
  • Alternatively, you ask us to email across an enrolment form to you – just phone the learner support team on 01392 311925 or email us at study@accountancylearning.co.uk.

    The enrolment form is ‘form fielded’ so you can either type in the relevant information on your computer (do remember to save it on your computer!) or can print it and complete it by hand.

Once you have completed your enrolment form, you can either email it across to us at study@accountancylearning.co.uk or post it us (the address details are on the form).

If paying by card, you will need to phone us on 01392 311925 to make payment via our online secure payment gateway (as due to Data Protection requirements we do not wish to retain your card details).

Once we have received your payment, we will start processing your payment and you can get started with your course within 1-2 working hours!
