What are the AAT’s Fees that I should consider?
Before enrolling onto an AAT course, you will need to work out your costs and make sure there are no hidden fees. Here at Accountancy Learning, we are very clear about what our courses and packages include. All of our course packages include all of the learning materials needed for your studies, but not all of our packages include the AAT’s fees.
Our all-inclusive package is our Tutor Supported PLUS (Tutor Supported + All AAT fees), which includes all of the AAT’s fees, however, the Self-Study EXTRA and the Tutor Supported do not include the AAT’s fees. So what are these fees?
- AAT Membership
- Exams
AAT membership: this is an annual fee that will enable you to book your exams, get access to the AAT’s exclusive additional materials (such as practice tests and assessments), join the AAT’s student forums, and allow you to join events and gain access to resources which will help to boost your career. You cannot sit your exams without your AAT membership and subsequently will not gain your certificate.
*For Accounting Qualifications: When you register with the AAT you will have to pay £172. This is a one-off fee for access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years.
*For Bookkeeping Qualifications: When you register with the AAT you will have to pay £65. This is a one-off fee for access to the qualification for its lifetime, typically four to five years.
Don’t panic, you won’t need to pay the AATs fees straight away! It’s recommended that you register within the first 4 weeks of you starting the course.
Exams: The number of exams you will need to take will vary depending on what course you decide to choose, but the main thing to remember is that exams costs will vary between ££100 -£150 on average depending on your exam venue. This is not an upfront cost. You only need to pay this when you book your exam so you can plan accordingly.
*Prices as of August 2022
