Which of these should I do first – enrol on a course or register with the AAT?
You should enrol on an AAT course first before you register with the AAT.
The main reason for this is that when you start completing the AATs online registration form, you will be asked to select the name of your chosen Training Provider, and you obviously can’t do this until you enrol with your chosen Training Provider!
Once you have enrolled with an AAT Approved Training Provider, AAT regulations state that you MUST register with the AAT as a student with within 4 weeks.
Here’s a simple flowchart to show you the steps involved once you have chosen to invest in an AAT course:
Choose your AAT course
If you are unsure, head over to our “Which course should I start with” page
Choose an AAT Approved Training Provider
The best way of doing this is to go to the AATs “Find a Training Provider” site here
or, you can do a Google search
Enrol on an AAT course
Payment is made to your chosen training provider
Register with the AAT
Registration and payment is made via the AATs website here. If AAT registration is included in your course package, you will be given a payment code by your training provider.
AAT Exam and Admin/Invigilation fees
These fees are payable directly to an AAT Approved Assessment (exam) Venue. You can search for an assessment venue here
